Except, these suspenders aren’t your Grandpa’s suspenders. Our suspenders are soft and supple and made from Premium Leather. Metal clips attach to your jean belt loops, 2 in the front and 1 in the back. The straps are adjustable, depending on your height, for a better fit. In addition to wearing our LeatherWerks suspenders as regular suspenders, you can wear them as a Sam Browne, or as a back-pack harness! The suspenders are available in the following sizes: M, L, XL and 2XL. As a general rule of thumb, the sizes correspond with the following heights: M (5’0-5’9), L (5’9 – 6’1), XL (6’1 – 6’5) and 2XL (6’4 6’9). However, because no two bodies are the same, we recommend you stop by out for a proper fitting.

Basket Weave Shoulder Strap

Shown here is the matching shoulder strap for your Sam Browne belt. The strap comes in even sizes from 40 to 50 inches long, and is adjustable to add or subtract approximately an inch and a half. To get the right fit, measure from your left leg at belt level, over your right shoulder, and down to belt level on your back. Not too complicated, right? The adjustable buckle will do the rest. The ‘Sam Browne’ has been a part of military dress uniforms around the world. Even cops have picked up on the idea. So, if your gear includes military or police uniforms, the Sam Browne is a must. They don’t look bad bare-chested either. The duty belt comes in handy for carrying your cuffs or nightstick (you never know when you’ll need your nightstick) and looks great, too.

See? I told you the Sam Browne looks great even bare-chested! To prove my point, I stripped down one of my boys and dressed him up, snapping a few pics along the way. Ok, so maybe aisle 8 at CVS Pharmacy wasn’t the most appropriate place to do it, but we learn from our mistakes, right? Measuring is easier than you think. Simply go from left hip, over the right shoulder, to the center of your back and you’re done. Or, you could stop by the LeatherWerks showroom and our friendly, knowledgeable staff will measure your chest (among other things). Doesn’t my boy look good in leather? He looked so good, I came in his mouth. And, the old man shopping for Metamucil really got off on it. In fact, he had to take his blood pressure medication.

A step up. Think of it as a builder’s upgrade. A ‘keeper’ keeps your shoulder strap attached to your duty belt, and the ‘Keeper Premium’ keeps all eyes on you. Considering the price, why not splurge? I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached. Too bad they don’t sell replacement heads. Wait a minute. I can get head anywhere. Keepers are harder to come by.

Premium Shoulder Strap

Ok, guys, here’s the full regalia. The ‘Premium’ shoulder strap completes your Sam Browne gear, making you look incredible. I, personally, prefer wearing it next to my bare skin (I am a leatherman, after all). You could team it with just about any uniform, or wear it the way you’d wear a harness. American made, the genuine leather and chrome hardware gives me a boner every time. You don’t need tats and a hairy chest to pull it off either. Measuring is easy. Measure the distance from the top left side of your belt, over your right shoulder, all the way to the top left backside of your belt. This is the desirable length, not including the keeper. A Sam Browne has an adjustable buckle that allows for up to a two inch leeway in case you gain or lose a few pounds.
