LeatherWerks is a full-service Leather / Fetish shop catering to the greater alternative lifestyle community. There are two retail stores in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

LeatherWerks is a drug-free workplace. Entry Level Social Media Coordinator and Writer

Full-Time: Monday-Friday / $18/hour

Are you a creative individual with a passion for social media? Do you excel at crafting compelling descriptions for products, events, newsletters, and social media posts? If so, the Entry Level Social Media Coordinator and Writer position might be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and post content for various business lines across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and others.
  • Design engaging images for social media using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Express.
  • Contribute to the creation of weekly newsletters by providing imagery and/or written content.
  • Update the company homepage with event information, including imagery and descriptive content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of posts and make adjustments to optimize engagement.
  • Respond to customer direct messages.
  • Assist in creating content for company procedure and training manuals.

Required Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to manage posting schedules for multiple channels and businesses.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.

Showroom Sales Associate

Part-Time / $15/hour

At the heart of our business is Sales and Customer Service. We are looking for a Sales Associate to work in our showroom assisting customers to find the products that fulfil their desires. Working in our showroom is a lot of fun, but this job is more than just helping customers. People applying must be willing move boxes containing products to our warehouse, put product away, and clean the store, which includes mopping the floors and cleaning the bathrooms.

We will teach you how to work with our customer base, but prior sales experience and a basic knowledge of the Leather community is required. Having a good attitude and being able to juggle multiple tasks is key to being a success in this position.

Leather Production Assistant (Leather Crafter)

Full- or Part-Time / $14.50 - $25/hour

Do you enjoy creating and working with your hands? Do you know your way around a sewing machine? LeatherWerks is looking for a Leather Production Assistant (Leather Crafter). This position will be producing a wide variety of leather products like harnesses, vests, jock straps, and other leather items for the Leather Community. Your pay rate will increase as you become more experienced at your job. Pay starts at $14.50 per hour and can go as high as $25/hour based on your experience. The more you learn, the faster you grow, and the more you earn.

Some of the typical duties of the position:

  • Reviewing and following instructions that explain how to assemble each product correctly each time a job is started.
  • Follow instructions given by the head of the department and from our build book.
  • Using machinery to attach rivets, snaps, and grommets hardware to assemble leather gear per production directions and company quality standards.
  • Recording and correctly reporting all materials and time used to produce each product.
  • Minimize leather waste by using leather in the most efficient way possible while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Working quickly to ensure each product is produced efficiently (time) and with minimal waste (materials).
  • Making repairs and alterations to products.
  • Keeping a clean and organized work area.

This is a Full-Time or Part-Time position. Work schedule flexibility is negotiable barring hiring status.
