Below is a list of the open positions we have available at LeatherWerks! LeatherWerks is a full-service Leather / Fetish shop catering to the greater alternative lifestyle community. There are two retail stores in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. LeatherWerks is a drug-free workplace. In keeping with evolving business practices, we no longer consider marijuana use a bar to employment for most positions however no employee may work while under the influence of any substance, including marijuana. We proudly support recovery programs such as AA and CMA and we sponsor such programs at various Leather events. Digital Content Specialist (Entry Level)

Full-Time Generally Monday to Friday but Can Be Somewhat Flexible / $18/Hour

Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on creator who can plan, produce, and publish digital content across social, web, and email for all our different companies. You’ll write compelling copy, capture and edit product visuals including light‑box shots and creating generative AI lifestyle imagery, and build our newsletters, all while engaging with our various communities in a timely way with brand‑appropriate posts and replies. This is an entry-level role with training provided, but strong organizational skills and some related experience is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Social media planning & posting: Create, schedule, and publish content across multiple business lines on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X.
  • Community engagement: Reply to customer DMs in a polite, friendly voice and coordinate with teammates to resolve questions quickly.
  • Website & events updates: Post weekly news items and ensure events and product features are added to the site’s home page.
  • Copywriting: Write product descriptions, social captions, and email copy using AI to assist. You’ll also produce clear, non‑promotional content like store/event signage when needed.
  • Visual and AI imagery: Assist with shooting product in a light box, editing images (background cleanup, filters, text overlays) to make them post‑ready, and use generative AI to create on‑brand lifestyle images of people wearing/using our products.
  • Email marketing: Build newsletters in our email template, manage lists, and schedule sends.

What You’ll Need to Bring

  • Strong writing & typing skills with the ability to meet deadlines and switch between promotional and informational tones.
  • Basic Microsoft Word proficiency for creating and formatting materials.
  • Image editing competence, ideally in Photoshop (or equivalent), for background changes, filters, and text additions.
  • Platform fluency in Instagram, Facebook, and X with scheduling content and posting in real time.
  • Customer‑friendly communication skills that include being polite, helpful, and consistent with brand voice when engaging the community.
  • Organization skills to keep your projects, files, and deadlines under control.
  • Bonus points: Light‑box/product photography experience. Basic HTML/CSS understanding for tidy web posts. Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and the Creative Cloud suite of apps. Experience with common email tools. Comfort with AI‑image prompt building and workflows.

eCommerce Product Specialist (Entry Level)

Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented organizer who can build, update, and manage product listings across our key sales channels: WooCommerce, eBay, and Amazon. You’ll write accurate titles and descriptions, organize our digital image library, and use AI to fill visual gaps, all while ensuring every item listed looks professional and is easy for customers to find. This is an entry level job, so we are willing to train you, but some previous related skills are still required.

What You’ll Do

  • Multi-platform listing management: Create, update, and remove product listings across our web store (WooCommerce) and third-party marketplaces like eBay and Amazon to keep inventory current.
  • Product description & optimization: Refine or rewrite product names and descriptions to capture customer attention, ensuring all specs, categories, and keywords are accurate.
  • Visual asset coordination: Search our internal library for the right photos, apply necessary edits, and use generative AI to create missing product imagery or lifestyle context.
  • Digital asset management: Organize image folders, ensure correct file linking, and maintain a tidy, searchable library for the whole team.
  • Quality assurance & pricing: Verify that details are correct and check that our pricing remains competitive within the marketplaces.
  • Brand consistency: Ensure that the “look and feel” of our listings remains consistent across all platforms, adhering to our specific templates and guidelines. Also helping with template and guideline creation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong typing and data entry skills for inputting product specs and descriptions.
  • Basic Microsoft Office (specifically Excel/Word) proficiency for managing bulk data or drafting content.
  • Platform familiarity with eCommerce interfaces (WooCommerce, eBay, Amazon Seller Central) or a quick aptitude for learning new dashboard tools.
  • Organization skills to keep thousands of SKUs, image files, and listing statuses under control.
  • Clear communication skills to collaborate with the photographer, writer, and inventory teams.
  • Ability to work independently on repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Bonus points: Experience with bulk upload tools and CSV management. Basic HTML understanding for formatting descriptions. Knowledge of SEO keywords for product titles. Experience with digital asset management workflows.

Sales Associate (Main Store)

Part Time / Full Time / $18/Hour

Overview
We’re looking for an energetic people-person who can guide customers through our showroom, provide expert product advice, and maintain a welcoming store environment. You’ll assist visitors in finding products that fulfill their desires, while making them feel comfortable in our store. You will also manage inventory flow between the warehouse and the floor, and ensure the space remains spotless, from stocking shelves to mopping floors. This is an entry level job, so we are willing to train you on our specific processes, but previous sales experience and basic knowledge of the Leather community is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Customer consultation: Greet showroom visitors warmly, listen to their needs, and guide them to the specific products that fulfill their desires and requirements.
  • Sales & service: Process transactions at the register, answer questions about pricing, and resolve customer inquiries with a helpful, positive attitude.
  • Leather crafting: Utilize downtime to work on assigned leather crafting projects (we will provide training on the specific techniques required).
  • Inventory handling: Move boxes containing products to and from our warehouse, unpack shipments, and ensure the sales floor is fully stocked and neatly organized.
  • Store maintenance: maintain a clean and safe shopping environment; this includes daily tasks such as dusting displays, mopping floors, and cleaning the bathrooms.
  • Product education: Continuously learn about our new arrivals and catalog so you can offer informed recommendations to our community.

What You’ll Need to Bring

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make every customer feel comfortable, valued, and heard.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move inventory boxes, stand for extended periods, and perform necessary cleaning duties.
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to multitask and switch gears quickly during busy hours.
  • Basic knowledge of the Leather community and culture to authentically assist our specific customer base.
  • Reliability and punctuality to ensure the showroom opens on time and runs smoothly.

Sales Associate (Ramrod Store)

Part Time / $16/Hour Plus Tips

Overview
This position earns tips! We’re looking for a responsible and independent team member to manage our retail space located within the Ramrod bar. You’ll assist customers in finding gear that fulfills their desires, work on leather crafting projects during downtime, and ensure the shop remains spotless. Because this location is situated inside a bar, you must be comfortable working in a nightlife environment. We will train you on our specific processes and crafting techniques, but previous sales experience and basic knowledge of the Leather community is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Customer consultation: Greet bar patrons and customers warmly, listen to their needs, and guide them to the specific products that fulfill their desires.
  • Sales & service: Process transactions, answer questions about pricing, and handle sales with a positive attitude which will help with your tips!
  • Leather crafting: Utilize downtime to work on assigned leather crafting projects (we will provide training on the specific techniques required).
  • Store maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment; this includes daily tasks such as cleaning the shop area and ensuring displays are tidy at the end of the night.
  • Bar atmosphere: Navigate the unique energy of a bar environment while maintaining professional service and representing the brand standards.

What You’ll Need to Bring

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make every customer feel comfortable, valued, and heard.
  • Reliability and independence, as you may be working solo, punctuality and responsibility are critical.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to switch between serving customers and focusing on detailed crafting work.
  • Basic knowledge of the Leather community and culture to authentically assist our specific customer base.
  • Comfort working in a bar/nightlife setting.
